N Myrtle Beach, SC September 10, 2005
Well, we went and did it! We are right smack in the middle of a hurricane. Hurricane Ophelia is 200 miles east of South Carolina. All forecasts predict it should hit land sometime around Monday. At this point, they can't tell us what part of South Carolina it will hit. However, their predications show it will probably hit somewhere between Charleston, SC and Wilmington, NC. Myrtle Beach sits between these two towns. We are prepared to evacuate and have two routes depending on what the forecasters advise us. We'll try and keep you posted on our whereabouts.

You'll be just fine. Hey, it makes the 1-1/2 hour ride over Gold Camp Road seem like a picnic. Wow, look at your experiences. I do pray that there is NOT a lot of trouble for you.
Love youse guys,
Meeky
I'm getting worried, we've not heard from you
