N Myrtle Beach, SC Sept. 2, 2005
Well, we were planning on leaving today; however, Katrina created a fuel shortage all along the Eastern states. We called ahead to our next destination and were advised that a majority of gas stations were out of fuel or limiting the amount you could purchase. We decided to stay put and wait it out. We were able to get a great monthly rate at the RV Park we are staying at. So here we are for another 30 days. We can't complain. The beach is at our front door; the weather is great and we couldn't think of a nicer place to stay.

Holy Smokes! 30 days, you will be speaking just like Don when you get home. You'll also have time to learn a 2d language (southern). Make sure you wash all your "red" places very good when you get off the beach, if not, you'll hurt. Remember, I spent about 18 years on Islands, and I know. Send me an address so I can send you some "pertys" as they say in the south.
Debbie is due in tomorrow from Florida. I guess she didn't like the beach.
Mrs. Coy says, I miss you!
