Harrisburg PA July 8 thru July 16, 2005

We came here to visit my sister, Sally, and her family. What a great time we've had here. My sister actually lives outside of Harrisburg in a community called Etters. It was very hot and humid during our stay. We did a lot of sightseeing and spent some great time with all the family. It made Tony and I a little homesick at times because Sally's family is so family oriented. The grandchildren are always visiting grandma and pappy's house. While here, we took a ride through the Amish country. The Amish have some large farms. They don't use electricity or any modern ammenties. It was kind of sad to see that the modern world is slowly taking over as new housing moves into their territory. We also visited the Harley factory and took a tour. Then we went to Hershey Park and learned how they make chocolate. Of course, we bought candy to take on the road with us. From here, we are off to Washington D.C to see the Vietnam Memorial Wall and other historical sites.

Auntie, did you visit the spa at the Hershey factory? I've heard you can get a chocolate wrap (instead of a seaweed wrap); now that's what I call being pampered!!! Miss you guys.
