Colorado Springs, CO July 25 - July 28, 2005

We visited our friend, Mick, in Colorado Springs. While here we visited Garden of the Gods Park. The rock formations are awesome. We also went to a mining town called Cripple Creek with an elevation of 9494 feet. This town looks like an old western town with storefronts that look authentic. However, when you walk through the doors you are met by modern casinos. It reminded us of old Reno when you could walk from casino to casino. Tony loved this town. He found card rooms and immediately we lost him for several hours. While Tony played poker, Mick and I played slot machines at several casinos. Mick and I hit several jackpots. I won $180 on 4 nickels! When we met Tony later, we found out he lost money. Maybe he can get back at Deadwood, SD!

Tony I am glad to see that you found some poker tables! That is a must on a trip like this. If you hit a good spot for poker, take note, I am sure Trish will want all the details!
Looks like you guys are having a great time. Sounds like things have been a little smoother than your first day of your adventure.
We are all missing the two of you.
Norma, I assume you are updating the website. I love it! I check it several times a week, to see where you are! Hope to hear from you soon! Take care!
Love, Angela (your other daughter...the smart, good looking one!)
I loved the vist. You will never know how it uplifted me. I hope you enjoyed your "Rocky Mountain" ride over Rampart Range Road. A nice, peaceful ride above the city.
Cripple Creek was fun. Norm, keep playing the nickles and subsidize Tony's poker.
Love youse guys.
and hello Ang, Bri, and kids
